Asking for help often requires a special mindset.
It’s an act of courage, self-awareness, and humility.
It acknowledges that none of us has all the answers or can navigate life’s challenges entirely on our own.
It recognizes vulnerability and honors the strength it takes to admit when we need assistance.
This mindset reframes the act of seeking help as a proactive step toward growth and improvement rather than a sign of weakness. It’s about valuing one’s mental and emotional well-being enough to reach out to others with the knowledge and experience to offer support. It reflects a willingness to learn, adapt, and invest in oneself.
It’s a crucial first step toward personal growth and resilience, ultimately leading to a stronger, healthier, and more fulfilling life.
Therapy will help you in so many ways…
Understanding and awareness…
Therapy is a safe space to explore the root causes and triggers of anxiety. By gaining a deeper understanding of the underlying issues, you can manage your symptoms more effectively.
Coping strategies…
You’ll learn practical coping strategies and techniques to manage symptoms. These can include deep breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to challenge and reframe anxious thoughts.
Behavioral changes…
We can work on behaviors that cause or perpetuate your symptoms – things like avoidance behaviors or difficulty setting or maintaining boundaries. In therapy, you can face what causes you anxiety in a controlled, supportive manner.
Emotional support…
As your therapist, I’ll offer you support and guidance with an empathetic, nonjudgmental presence. Here, you’ll feel less isolated in your struggle with your diagnosis.
Improved self-esteem…
Therapy can help individuals build self-esteem and self-confidence, which can reduce symptoms. By addressing underlying self-esteem issues, therapy can lead to greater self-assurance and resilience.
Long-term prevention…
Beyond managing your symptoms, therapy can help you develop skills and strategies for preventing or de-escalating them in the future.
Trusting me as your therapist…

About Me
My road to becoming a therapist…
… was marked by a unique blend of life experience and personal challenges.
While serving in the Air Force, I was exposed to the importance of maintaining mental well-being in high-stress environments. I recognized this gap in mental health care, particularly for veterans like myself.
Also, living with trauma and ADHD, I knew firsthand the daily struggles and the stigma surrounding these conditions.
I wanted to explore a career path that allowed me to help others with these same challenges.
Some of my education and experience…
I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Wheelock College and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) soon after.
As a therapist, I’ve focused on helping veterans navigate the complexities of their mental health and destigmatizing conditions like ADHD, PTSD, and anxiety.
Working with clients, I’ve seen how empathy and resilience can transform their lives and create a more compassionate, inclusive world.
When I’m not doing therapy…
I enjoy Orangetheory Fitness workouts, crocheting, and traveling to see family.
You’ll also find me spending time with my dog, Winnie, and my cat, Luna.
I’m holding this safe, empathetic space for you…
If you’re wrestling with the challenges of mental illness, I want you to know that reaching out for help is a significant and incredibly brave step.
You deserve the care and understanding therapy can offer, and I wholeheartedly believe in your capacity for growth and resilience.
